• Your Egyptian visa will expire when you cross the border, so if you are going to visit Cairo or Ras Mohamed after your Petra trip, you will have to buy a new visa when you enter Egypt again. However, if you stay in Dahab and leave the country from Sharm el Sheikh or Taba, a ‘free Sinai visa’ will be enough.
