Luxor is well known as the world’s greatest open-air museum. The number and preservation of monuments in the Luxor area are unparalleled anywhere else in the world. Luxor is a major attraction for tourists in Egypt and you will really step back in time here to explore Egypt’s ancient history.
You will be collected from your hotel in the early hours of the morning and taken to a meeting place where you will then continue your journey to Luxor.
The program will start on the East side of the Nile where you will visit the Karnak Temple. Karnak Temple complex is one of the major sites of Egypt and within its bounds, the sacred energies of Ancient Egypt can still be felt. We will also see the Luxor Temple known as the Temple of the Gods.
You will then have an open buffet lunch; afterward, we will drive to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings - the ancient cemetery of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, hidden in the mountains between the two limestone hills of Gurna. The Valley of the Kings holds 63 registered tombs and 3 more tombs have recently been found.
You will also have the possibility to buy souvenirs before leaving Luxor and heading back to Marsa Alam.
